The main character of these stories, Mahmoud Ghatali Kharazmi commonly known as Pourya-ye Vali is the famous Iranian Sufi and champion. He’s a blacksmith and runs the only Zurkhaneh of the town where he teaches wrestling and chivalrous behaviour to his students. Among his students, there are three young men named Yavar Ahangar, Safi Namadmal and Mofrad Soleymani who have more credit with him. With the help of these three, Pourya manages to make a stand against the cruel rulers and sheriffs of the time. |
