DIRECTOR’S VIEW
“The Tear Of The Cold” is my fourth film. The first one, “Hoor on Fire”, was made in a lagoon in impossible conditions. Now, after twelve years, it’s the time for “The Tear Of The Cold”, coming from my experiences and cultural efforts during the years of war. Work in an un-organized environment out of studio seemed to be more impossible than “Hoor On Fire”. It took six years to convince the producers and in charge people to do the project, noting its unusual concept and performance. Working in the brutal winter on snowy mountains of Kurdistan and creation of intolerable squalls was a brand new experience, thanks to the endeavors of Special Effects experts.
This film goes to the hidden angles of a domestic war, where love of a Kurdish shepherdess is in confrontation. The root of love and kindness among human beings could have been in danger if the war continued, but love is the victor, and even the tragic one invites the world to the peace.
