In the rugged terrain of Iran, two powerful tribes, Poussan and Sorkhu, have been at odds for years. Bahador, the head of the Poussan tribe, and the head of the Sorkhu tribe have been in a long-standing rivalry and conflict. After a period of peace, Sorkhu requests the hand of Bahador's daughter, Jahan Passand, in marriage. However, Jahan Passand is already engaged to marry her cousin, and Bahador strongly objects to the proposal. This ignites old wounds, and the hostility between the two tribes intensifies. The people of each tribe support their respective leaders, and a war of words ensues. Bahador takes a drastic action, which shakes the foundations of the relationship between the two tribes.
