Directed by Saeed Nabi and Maryam Khadivi and organized by the IRIB Media Trade, "Forgotten" will be featured at the International Ecological TV Festival "To Save and Preserve," held from June 8–12, 2025, in Russia.
The documentary presents a parallel narrative between the ecological events of Hor al-Azim Wetland and the life of Abdolkazem Saki, a world-champion athlete from the region.
Saki, who won 15 international medals between 2001–2008, was permanently removed from Iran's national team at age 23 after failing in the Guangzhou competitions. His life story mirrors the fate of Hor al-Azim itself—once thriving, now neglected.
"Forgotten" is a poignant reflection on environmental and human resilience, exposing how both nature and talent can be overlooked.
